ADFA and Profile Nuri Kino at two global world changemaker conferences

For the third consecutive year, Nuri Kino and his organization ADFA participated in the global human rights conference IRF Summit in Washington, with over 1,400 participants from more than 40 countries. ADFA helped plan the conference and invited with the help of In Defense of Christians succeed with inviting the Syriac Orthodox Church’s Patriarch Mor Ignatius Afrem II as one of eight keynote speakers.

The delegation, consisting of the Patriarch, Archbishop Jean Kawak, Nuri Kino and Rachel Araz-Cunha from ADFA, and their sister organization IDC represented by Richard Ghazal, Habib Afram from Syriac League, met with representatives from the American State Department, congressmen, senators, and ministers from other countries. Swedish parliamentarian Yusuf Aydin attended some meetings.

As one of 80 speakers, alongside U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance, Kino discussed media’s role in reporting on religious persecution. ADFA’s proposals for equal rights in Syria, expanded envoys for minorities’ rights, and direct aid through voluntary organizations were included in the policy document presented to President Trump.

Kino was also invited for the third time to The National Prayer Breakfast, a world-leading event attended by human rights defenders, presidents, and world improvers like Mother Teresa, Bono, and the Dalai Lama. The event gathered over two thousand participants from more than 100 countries. President Trump and Speaker Johnson were speakers. Kino met Middle East advisor Massad Boulos, who is father-in-law to Trump’s daughter, and Congressman Smith. Habib Afram and Yusuf Aydin also attended.
